箱根大学駅伝 1月2日･３日関東地区大学20校による箱根駅伝が、行われました。 東京と箱根間１10ｋｍ弱を5区間に分けて、往復します。 計10名の選手によって、優勝が決まります。 マラソンは孤独な戦いと言いますが、結果は自己責任で済みますが、駅伝はグループ、大学など背負って戦うので、責任が重そうです。 マラソンと違って、選手が代わると、順位が入れ替わりますので、見ていて楽しいです。 一日目に箱根芦ノ湖に着いた時間差に合わせ、2日目出発時間が遅くなります。 2008年84回大会では、初日早稲田大学がトップでゴールしましたが、復路2日目に駒沢大学が抜いて優勝しました。 東京・横浜･湘南･箱根と周りの景色も楽しめます。 Hakone long distance relay Hakone-ekiden Relay Road Race by 20 universities in Kanto region was done on January 2nd and 3rd. It is a long distance shuttle relay, single is a little less than 110km partitioned into five sections between Tokyo and Hakone. Ten members of each university race for two days. It is said the marathon is a solitary fight and win and loss are his or her own thing, while I think runners of the long distance relay might have heavy responsibilities to the group and the university. It is fun to see the race because the order changes off again and again when the runners alternate unlike the marathon. The departure time of the next day is decided according to the time difference arriving to Hakone Ashino-koof the first day. Komazawa University won the championship in the 84th meeting in 2008, regaining on the second day though Waseda University reached the goal in the top in the rally the first day . You can enjoy sceneries of Tokyo, Yokohama, Shounan and Hakone.
