椿と山茶花 Camellia japonica and Camellia sasanqua 冬に庭を彩る白、赤、ピンクの花は椿か山茶花です。 よく似ていて、区別しにくいのですが、花がまとめて落ちるのが椿、花びらが一枚ずつ落ちるのが山茶花と一般的に言われています。 写真のように花だけを見ていてはどちらかわかりません。 Camellia and sasanqua  White, red or pink flowers coloring the garden in winter are camellia or sasanqua. Though it is not easy to distinguish them by just looking, it is generally said the petal of a sasanqua drops one by one, whereas the camellia falls collectively. Just seeing the flower by photo, I think, you can't recognize the name. |
