Ukiyo-e

Ukiyo-e is a woodblock print of Japanese popular art which were produced before about two to three hundred years.
Their subject matters are female beauties, kabuki actors, landscapes, flora and fauna and erotica etc.

“The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaido,” by Hiroshige, "Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji,” by Hokusai, “Kabuki Actors,” by Sharaku and “Beauties,” by Utamaro, these are the most famous works that all of almost people know.

It is said ukiyo-e influenced the Impressionists such as Van Gogh and Monet.
